Denon Heos 3 (HS2) – WiFi & Bluetooth Speaker

Wireless sound around your homeAll HEOS (by Denon) music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. Prefer a wired connection? Then you can make use of the Ethernet socket that’s standard on all HEOS speaker systems.Effortless control from your smartphone or tabletOnce you’ve set up the HEOS systems, controlling them is simple with the free HEOS app. This user-friendly app uses three main tabs that feature at all times – Rooms, Music and Now Playing. Rooms allows individual control of the music being played in a particular room. The Music tab selects the streaming music service or stored music either on your device or a remote device connected via the DLNA network. This means you should be able to access pretty much all the digitally stored music available in your home. Now playing gives you artist, title and track timer information plus lets you control the master volume and also view the music queue.Endlessly compatibleA great benefit of choosing the HEOS system is its class-leading compatibility. In terms of music streaming services, it’s compatible with Spotify Connect (requires Spotify Premium account), Rhapsody, Pandora, TuneIn and other services offering DRM-free tracks. Supported music files include MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and WAV, making it compatible with just about all stored music libraries. The new HS2 model is now also compatible with High Resolution music files in FLAC, WAV and ALAC formats. Now with BluetoothThe latest version of the HEOS 3 HS2 now comes with the added bonus of built-in Bluetooth. This means that, even if you don’t take advantage of the HEOS multi-room room system, you can get quick and easy Bluetooth streaming from any smartphone or tablet. Bluetooth connectivity is also handy if the speaker is outside of your wi-fi range – such as a sunny day in the garden.Denon hi-fi sound qualityAlthough the HEOS 3 HS2 is pretty compact, that doesn’t hold it back from sounding bigger than it looks! Using twin, actively driven drive units, it provides a typically smooth and seamless sound across the frequency response. Class D digital amps combine high efficiency with low distortion, for a room-filling sound in smaller spaces.Added connectivity from USB and 3.5mm AUXIn addition to wireless connectivity, the HEOS 3 HS2 also offers both USB and 3.5mm AUX connections. Plug in your USB media stick and listen to stored music anywhere on the network! The 3.5mm AUX input is ideal for adding another local source, such as MP3 player or even your TV to the main speaker zone.Added flexibilityIt’s the little things that count with the HEOS 3. That’s why the speakers can be positioned either vertically or horizontally. Also, two HEOS 3s can be paired to make a high quality stereo pair of speakers – ideal for either side of a desk or bed.Small enough to be discreet but big enough for a powerful sound, the HEOS 3 HS2 is the perfect HEOS for many scenarios.Analogue RCA Inputs 3.5mmBluetooth YesDimensions WxDxH (mm) 272 x 165 x 130Dimensions WxHxD (mm) 275 x 128 x 156mm (Horizontal) 130 x 272 x 165mm (Vertical)DLNA Compliant YesHeadphone Output NoInternet Radio Services YesLoudness Control via appOptical Digital Inputs NoSmartphone control YesSub Output NoTone Controls via appTuner Radio Internet radioUSB Input 1Weight (KG) 1.9Wireless Connection Wi-FiBrand HEOSColour Black & White
